Now Recording - Doom3
I just started this project but I decided to record my whole game of Doom3 as a play walkthrough. Or maybe a shootthrough is a better word? Anyway, I first turn on FRAPS app which can record the game. I then play a section of the game while recording. FRAPS saves the files as AVI so it eats up a lot of HDD. I think 10 minutes is like 3 GIGs or so. I then go back to windows and take the AVI files and encore them using ENC to windows format. After that, I open up Windows Movie Maker and edit the stuff by cutting out unwanted scenes, adding credit and pictures and finally some effects. After editing, I publish it in High End Windows Format. Once that is done, I can upload it to YouTube or my other Video site. Youtube sucks and I will probably not use it much because they put a limitation of 10 minutes. My video episodes are probably like 15 to 20 minutes long. Once the video is publish on the web, I copy and paste the script to my Gaming site. I then advertise it to MIXI and my other blogs. It is kind of a big process from start to finish so one episode can take a few days to get done. A whole game can be like 30 episodes to I assume I can only do like 5 games a year (give and take my busy schedule of other things in life)!
